Franklin Transit Authority Launches Free Lunchtime Shuttle Between Downtown and The Factory

Lunchtime just got more exciting in Franklin with the launch of a new free pilot shuttle service connecting Downtown Franklin and The Factory. Beginning September 15, the shuttle will run every 15 minutes between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., making it easier than ever to enjoy lunch, shopping, and exploring both Main Street and The Factory destinations.

The shuttle loop will start at the Franklin Transit Authority Center on Columbia Ave., make a stop at Franklin’s Public Square, and continue to The Factory, offering a convenient and car-free way to enjoy the area.  The return from The Factory will also stop at the square and end at the Transit Center.

This new service is all about enhancing access. Whether you work downtown, are visiting for the day, or live nearby, the new service will make lunchtime travel simpler and more sustainable—especially as parking becomes more limited.

This new shuttle comes after Franklin Transit’s successful Saturday Farmers Market Shuttle, which provides stress-free access to one of the city’s most popular weekend events.

The new service will not replace any current transit routes.

The Franklin Transit Farmers Market Shuttle is operated by the Franklin Transit Authority.
