VERDELL APPOINTED TO TMA GROUP BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Franklin, TN – The TMA Group (Transportation Management Association) is pleased to announce the appointment of Samatha Verdell, Mercy Community Healthcare to The TMA Group Board of Directors.

Dr. Janet Smith, TMA Chairman, said “Throughout the history of the Transportation Management Association (TMA) we have had a very qualified and engaged board. We continue this tradition with the addition of Samatha Verdell to the TMA board. Her professional leadership and knowledge will be of great benefit to the organization as we continue the growth of TMA’s innovative local and regional transportation solutions.”

Regarding her appointment to The TMA Board of Directors, Ms. Verdell states: “I am excited to join the TMA Board of Directors because it offers the opportunity to contribute to the community where I live and work. I look forward to learning from leaders of different expertise, and I hope to offer insight that helps achieve success as we work together.”

  • Samantha’s dedication to help individuals struggling with real problems lead her to Mercy Community Healthcare in April 2018. Advancing within the organization, in April 2021 she was named the Director of Care Coordination. Samantha manages a team of 12 employees across two locations. She leads and trains her team to ensure high-performance standards to meet the needs of patients. Additionally, she works with Mercy’s leadership to develop new services. Samantha is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a dual degree in Medicine, Health, & Society and Spanish. She grew up in West Tennessee. Samantha is completing her MBA this summer.
